US barn wedding celebration, Maine.
Dana and Norman were married at an intimate and private ceremony with just their immediate families, many months before their wedding celebration. With families and friends coming from all over the world, their big wedding celebration was a much bigger logistical event, with a long weekend of partying.Dana is from the US, but works in Haiti. Norman's family live in Germany, but he works in Cleveland. People flew in from the beginning of the week and there was plenty going on. The weekend started on Friday with guests taken out into Portland bay on a lobster fishing boat to catch supper for a lobster bake on Peaks island.
Saturday was a real barn wedding - with activities. Log splitting, flying fox, croquet, juggling, with oysters and dancing. Dana's dad and uncles set up the challenges, and nearly everyone took part.
