I came across this lovely article in the Huffington Post. Sonja and Stefan run Montechristo Travel - planning destination weddings from the US. Sonja planned her perfect proposal to take place in Prague, with their photographer on hand to do the bis.

There is also a nice quote to illustrate something I have been thinking a lot about; the concept of reportage, documentary and photojournalism and how much of a skive that is. Pictures rarely 'just happen'. ;
'They were standing by the water when the photographer said on cue, “I know you prefer photojournalistic shots but I do think a few posed photos would be really great here if that is okay?” '

Caroline and Jamie's wedding at The Rectory, Crudwell, Malmesbury

I'm recalling this lovely wedding from last year because it was - quite simply - a delightful day. Caroline and Jamie were married on the last Saturday before Christmas - in All Saints Crudwell followed by their reception at The Rectory.

The challenges for us photographers were that it was ferociously windy and fairly dark, and we were determined to use the wonderful space outside. Caroline and Jamie had organised a really wonderful joyful day; wintery but with a hint of Christmas, and surrounded by many many friends - including 5 bridesmaids and 6 ushers
